The course covers the study on human behavior with emphasis on the concept of human development and abnormal behavior. It includes strategies and approaches for handling different kinds of abnormal behavior in relation to law enforcement and criminal proceedings. It also includes the study of victimization, the role of community and techniques in assisting offender’s reintegration and victim’s recovery (CMO 05 s2018).
This course is intended to guide future law enforcers to deals with different irregular behavior and how to handle them. It also guides them on how to assist offender and victim’s rehabilitation.
Specifically, lessons are aimed to empower students by postering knowledge, skills, attitudes and values inspired from the Gallegans philosophy. Lessons and activities in this course are prepared to give opportunities and challenges to students in law enforcement settings by examining human behavior can be applied in real life scenario.
As a recap of the course, students must prepare a case study using the situation assigned to them for review during the entire course following the principles and theories learned from the subject.
